Nov. 22nd, 2008 @ 04:38 pm poly and politics
i recently contacted The Australian Sex Party regarding their policies on poly... at the moment they have none, but expressed a very strong interest in hearing from poly people regarding their thoughts on what the party could do for them. i'm going to talk to them about poly and immigration as well as family etc rights.

if anyone else is interested, they have a contact page and they assure me they will respect your privacy.

thanks.

hmmm interesting... be interesting to find out more and see more, whether they are going to be a genuine effective political party or if it just ends up being a political/party arm of Eros... nothing against Eros and what they do, not at all, but do wonder if being that closely tied to the adult industry might be a hindrance or not...

the key thing that helps (as the US presidential election has shown) is support from the people.

We have Family Farce pulling what, 2%, so Eros has to be able to do that well.

We can encourage a Fuck Family First campaign. ;-)

I asked them a few questions at their stand at Sexpo. I like the policies they listed in general, but they were a little vague about stuff that they hadn't listed.
They told me to email them with my points though!

i would say they're vague on the unlisted because it's things they haven't throught much about yet. but it does seem like they're willing to listen and talk. hell they're answering emails on a sunday. o_0

Obviously non-monogomous relationships should be recognized - both defacto and marriage.

Also, poly discrimination should be outlawed.
